3D Scanning
Think of it like the scanner connected to your computer.
Instead of a flat two dimensional image however, a 3D scanner will
record millions of surface points to allow special computer
programs to utilize this data as a true and exacting 3D virtual
copy of the original.
So what? Well, here are just a few examples of how 3D scanning
will be beneficial to your particular needs:
-
Reverse Engineering
-
Packaging Design
-
Ergonomic Design
-
Solar parabolic testing
-
Digital Archiving
-
Digital Media, Gaming & Animation
-
Arts & Cultural Heritage
-

Create STL files for FDM printing
Your 3D scan is delivered in the format of your choice. We
can scan and upload a simple STL file (least expensive), or we can
extract the 3D data into the most powerful scan editor available
- RapidForm XOR- which can provide you with parametric
geometry
files that can be imported directly into your CAD system.
Including the ability to directly create a SLDPRT file from the
scan data into SolidWorks including all the features
that make up the scan. You are free to edit, add, modify,
configure your 3D object in SolidWorks.
Or, simply allow us to give you a 3D printing of your item.
Virtually creating a 3D "copy" in as little as a few days.
